EastWestern University's Huxley Library Reference Chat Transcripts, Part I
Compiled by Seamus Lennon and Miki Lang

For nearly a year, EastWestern University's Huxley Library has participated in the state's virtual chat pilot project. A team of librarians, graduate assistants, and volunteers staffed the computers to help customers around the state with reference questions. What started as a noble calling soon deteriorated into silliness though, as hours of harassment and/or boredom taxed the operators. What follows is the result of some of those most interesting, helpful, obscene, useless, or just plain amusing chats. (All typing errors have been preserved.)

Chat 1: Girls Gone Wild
Chat 2: The break-up
Chat 3: Just the facts, ma'am
Chat 4: Romeo and Juliet
Chat 5: God mode
Chat 6: Car shopping
Chat 7: Big Pimp
Chat 8: Eisenhower
Chat 9: All your questions are belong to us.
Chat 10: Spinach dip
