Wilder is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Modern Poetry at EastWestern
University, Purewater Campus in Purewater, Kansas. He is the biographer
and former close personal friend of the late poet Bean Newton and editor
of Bean Newton’s posthumous books Horseradish, Hot Rod,
and Screaming Through the Blood On My Pillow. He continues
to sift through Newton’s papers and memoirs in search of new material
and to publish on matters of great literary and cultural importance.
He says of Newton’s writings, "They certainly are large!"
