I'd Stick You In an Oval Frame
by Francine
DuBois
f.ing stop
all you need is my picture
it's all appearances with you
the smiling family on the desk
locked in by silver bars
smiles painstakingly pasted on
and Photoshopped in.
What will they say,
you fear
if you vanish from here?
If a black silhouette appears
where your body should be?
Oh, the emptiness.
What will you look at
If I go away?
