I Was a Teenage Transvestite (1967). ** D: Kelly Queen. Cast: Sam Doring, Beverly Hopsfield, Shawn Neek, Martha Bing.. What Reefer Madness did for marijuana, this flick does for cross-dressing. With a 'groovy,' hippie spin on a certain clothes fetish, this film lurches from scene to scene denouncing old-time morality and championing Sam Doring's right to wear a blouse that doesn't match his purse. Doring later starred in Roger Corman's Beast from the Year 2000 and then died under mysterious circumstances. Not rated, c, 89 minutes. dc. [direct link]

I'm No Angel (2000). * D: Guy Ritchie. Cast: Madonna, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Minnie Driver. Remake of Mae West classic features smug former carnival star Madonna as sex symbol caught in Damon-Affleck love triangle. Surprising performance by Driver as jolly immigrant housemaid only spot of humor. R, c, 110 minutes. jh. [direct link]

It's a Good Thing He Didn't Know About the Frosting (1992). ** D: Patrick O'Hare. Cast: Juliet Doyle, Nelson Moss. A girl struggles to keep her compulsive eating disorder hidden from her friends. An ABC After-School Special. PG, c, 94 minutes. jh. [direct link]
