please
use rear entrance
by Hezekiah Allen
Taylor
enter through the anus
a long canal beyond the door
carry your packages firmly
under your good arm
do not stop for sustenance
or half-hearted conversation
move swiftly
do not look left
do not look right
do not look up
you can look down
but I wouldn't advise it
keep to yourself
don't share with others
don't show what you carry
under that good arm
wear shoes with traction
at times the floor is slick as ice
as times it's dry as ice, too
I will not be waiting
but I will send someone
to take my place
you'll like her
she won't complain
she'll look good
she'll speak only when
you put those cold hands
up her shirt and tug at her skin
like marionette strings
I hope you weren't expecting
more than this
